Greenland may be the world’s best-kept big game secret, with thriving populations of caribou and muskox. The Great American Outdoor Show allowed me to speak with the booking agent personally, and I was immediately impressed. Outdoor Adventure Specialists (O.A.S.) books Muskox hunts in fall and winter, with the August and September hunts in mild to moderate temperatures. A winter hunt is very cold and snowy, but that may be your desire.

A September hunt may be ideal because caribou have hard antlers and beautiful white mains, and muskox have thick dark coats. For the O.A.S. website, click here.
